Ashwagandha Liquid Extract – Standardized is a liquid blend of Ashwagandha Extract (Withania Somnifera Root Extract) and Propanediol produced through a unique manufacturing technology.
Ashwagandha Liquid Extract is obtained from the root of the Withania somnifera, an annual evergreen shrub from the Nightshade family of Solanaceae, native to India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. Known for its use in Ayurvedic medicine, Ashwagandha is a popular ingredient in natural cosmetic products, particularly for strengthening hair and maintaining smooth-looking skin. A natural antioxidant and soothing extract with hydrating properties, Ashwagandha Liquid Extract is suitable for use in skin care products including toners, creams, lotions, and body butter. Ashwagandha Liquid Extract can be blended in hair care products including shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks. The extract contains Ashwagandha, which is beneficial for maintaining the smoothness and suppleness of the skin. With a plant-based origin, Propanediol is a biodegradable and petrochemical-free solvent that is NPA approved, making it an excellent corn sugar-derived alternative to petroleum-based Glycols for hair and skin care formulations. The original color of Ashwagandha Liquid Extract – Standardized is light brown to dark brown; however, there is a possibility of this color changing, depending on the formulation to which it is added.
