This raw material, otherwise known as Witch Hazel extract, is a clear, colorless botanical prepared from the recently cut and partially dried, dormant twigs of the Hamamelis virginiana Linn plant, also known as the Witch Hazel plant. These distillates offer a variety of benefits for skin and personal care applications.

Alcohol Free Distillates are particularly advantageous for applications that require the soothing natural astringent properties of Witch Hazel, and there are instances where the use of alcohol is not appropriate.

The most popular uses of Witch Hazel Distillate are for skin-cleansing products, including sun care, wound care, children's sting free products, and other products where skin sensitization is an issue.

DIRECTIONS & SUGGESTED USAGE

• Skin Soother: To soothe skin before and after hair removal, apply a few drops of Witch Hazel to a clean cotton pad and swipe it across the affected areas. This method protects against irritation during shaving. Conduct a skin test prior to use.
• Fresh-faced Makeup Remover: Combine 3 tbsp Witch Hazel Distillate – Alcohol Free and 2 tbsp Olive Carrier Oil in a small bottle for an effective makeup remover. Shake well before use and apply to the face with a cotton pad. A patch test is always recommended before use.
• Shampoo Shimmer: For shiny, healthy-looking hair, combine ½ cup Distilled Water, 1 tbsp Witch Hazel, 1 tbsp Jojoba Carrier Oil, and 2 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel in a glass measuring cup. Slowly add ¼ cup of liquid Castile Soap, stir thoroughly, then add 3 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil and stir again. Store in an airtight container and apply to hair like regular shampoo.
