These aromatic constituents provide essential oils with pleasant scents and their names either have “-al” suffixes or contain the word “aldehyde.” They are popular for the lemony scents in the essential oils of Citronella, Lemongrass, and Lemon Eucalyptus. Ironically, Lemon Oil does not share the same therapeutic properties with these oils, because it does not contain Aldehydes.
