The rich natural landscape of Hungary consists of plains, meadows, pastures, and marshes. The cool winters and moderate summers that are characteristic of its continental climate make it a favorable environment for its 2,200 flowering plant species, which include Tulips, Peonies, Lilacs, Blue Poppies, Daisies, and Crocuses. Its seed exports include Sunflower, Mustard, Alfalfa, grasses, and peas. Paprika is found commonly in Hungary and, despite the spice not being a product of an endemic Hungarian plant, the country has been known as the second largest supplier of Paprika to the United States. Chamomile Essential Oil is among Hungary's significant exports.
