(Showing 2 of 2)
Known as The Spice Island, this Southeastern country earned its nickname from exporting highly desirable spices such as cinnamon, pepper, cloves, cardamoms, nutmeg, mace and vanilla, which grow in diverse, fertile soil types and varying temperatures all over the island. The terrain of Sri Lanka ranges from the moist environment of the rainforest, to the dry coastal regions, to the cool hills, to the highlands milder climate. The wet, intermediate zones of Sri Lanka yield Pepper of intrinsically superior quality due to its high Piperine content, which enhances its pungency. Cloves that originate in Sri Lanka are also found to be of a superior quality and to have a greater richness in oil compared to cloves that are grown in other parts of the world. The country's major essential oil exports include Cinnamon Leaf, Citronella (Ceylon), Mace, Cardamom Organic, Cinnamon Bark Organic, Cinnamon Leaf Organic, Clove Bud Organic, Ginger Organic, Lime Organic, Mace Organic, Nutmeg Organic, Pepper Black Organic, and Vetiver Organic Essential Oils.
