DESCRIPTION
Do as the Italians do. Crafted along Italy’s Calabrian coast, this exquisite Bergamot Essential Oil comes from where most of the world’s finest Bergamot Oil is grown. This variety has been processed to remove bergaptene, ensuring it’s safe for use in skin and hair care without concern for phototoxicity after exposure to the sun. Bergamot is a staple in aromatherapy and is among the most popular essential oils used today for its effectiveness and wide variety of applications.
The Bergamot tree can reach up to four meters (approximately 13 feet) in height, is adorned with star-shaped flowers and smooth leaves and bears citrus fruit that resembles a cross between an orange and a grapefruit, but in a distinctive pear shape. The fruit ripens from green to yellow. The name “Bergamot” originates from the city of Bergamo in Lombardy, where this aromatic oil was first introduced to the market.
